ABOUT

Kia ora, I am a Christian male that specializes in trauma, mental health, non-violence education, couple's and relationship counselling. I look at hard emotions, human connection, and mental health. In addition, as a man of faith, I see myself as a Christian counsellor able to offer support and a safe place to discuss your faith and beliefs. I am deeply passionate about human connection. You are the expert of your life, and I am the facilitator of change.

I have a particular interest in creating a safe space for people to come and connect and share personal life stories of success and failure. I am aware that we all have history stories from yesterday that inform us today. Let's create new chapters or editions of preferred stories. I will hold onto hope on your behalf and notice the creation of what's preferred.

Life is such a journeyed experience. I enjoy creating a shoulder-to-shoulder style of working together. To do this I utilize skills and techniques borrowed from Narrative Therapy, Person Centered Skills, CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Strengths Perspective Skills. I enjoy building quick rapport and trust and a space of home away from home. I enjoy building new identity and a way of being in the world. I use things like contracting honesty together so things like authenticity and integrity flourish within the work we do together.

I make a conscious effort to connect with the humanness of who you are. I understand that part of the human experience is one of human emotion and the challenges this can create. Call me or email me today to book in and let's chat about life. I charge $135 for an individual session and $195 for a couple's session. Hours of work are Monday's and Friday's from 9:30am - 6:30pm and Thursdays from 11am - 6:30pm.
